Chicken Biryani

Chicken, 8-9 piece

Rice, 1 Kg (soaked before)

Onion, 2-3 medium

Tomatoes, 3-4 medium

Salt, as per taste (i take, 1 teaspoon & separately 1/2 teaspoon)

Yogurt, 1 cup

Biryani Masala, (1/2 pack, any national brand)

Oil, 1 cup

White Vinegar, 2-3 drops

Aniseeds, 4-5

Black pepper, as per taste

Yellow Food color, pinch

For Garnish

Green Chilies, 4-5 finely chopped

Mint, 8-9 leaves, finely chopped

Fresh Coriander, Finely chopped

Lemon, 1 small, finely sliced


For Boil Rice

Take a large pan, with 3/4 pan full of water. Add put on the flame on high.

Add few drops pf oil, vinegar.

When water starts bubbling, Add soaked rice.

And boil for few minutes. Till rice done 3/4 (not fully cooked).

When done, remove it from flame.

Remove water, very CAREFULLY!!!!! (and DON’T PLACE LID AGAIN)

HELPFUL NOTE: if you place lid again, Rice again start cooking with the help of steam

For chicken stock

Firstly take pan, add water and chicken piece to make chicken stock.

Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, aniseeds, black pepper, yellow food color.

Place a lid for 20- 25 minutes on medium to slow heat.

When done, remove it from flame.

Take a bowl and pour all the stock CAREFULLY!!!

On there will be chicken piece remaining in pan.

Turn on stove. Add oil and fry chicken pieces until turn golden brown.

And remove it from flame.

For Curry

Take a large pan. Put on the stove, add oil and heat on medium heat.

When oil get hot, add onion. Fry until turn golden brown.

then add tomatoes. And saute to make fine curry.

Add salt and mix it well.

The take a bowl. Add yogurt and 1/2 pack biryani masala. Make a fine paste.

Add this paste into pan of curry.

And mix it well.

Now add fry chicken and again mix it. So that, chicken also fully mix with curry.

When done, remove it from flame.

Take an other pan, put a layer of boil rice. Then add a layer of chicken curry.

Repeat the process again.

Again add all layer of leftover boil rice and chicken curry.

Then sprinkled yellow food color, green chilies, lemon slices, coriander and mint leaves.

Put it again on stove. On very slow flame to make steam for 5-10 minutes.

When done. You can now Serve your Chicken Biryani with mint sauce, salad and soft drinks.
